Atsushi Yamakawa
武蔵野美術大学在学中にインタラクション・デザインを専攻し、モーターやセンサーなどを使ったインタラクティブな作品を中心に制作。東京藝術大学大学院 先端芸術表現専攻修了。モノや図像の「輪郭」や「境界」の知覚をテーマに、布や糸など身近な素材を使って鑑賞者の知覚にアプローチするキネティックな作品や映像作品を制作している。
While a student at Musashino Art University, he majored in interaction design, focusing on interactive works using motors and sensors. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a Master's degree in Advanced Art Expression. He creates kinetic works and video works that approach the viewer's perception using familiar materials such as cloth and thread, based on the theme of the perception of "contours" and "boundaries" of objects and images.
